    I am currently playing on a private server patch 2.4.3 I have been looking through the website to determine which patch version the first book was written for but cant find anything.

    From what i understand revision 2 of the book is made with wotlk (3..) in mind, but im worried that first book might have outdated wowapi examples from 1.12/etc which are protected in 2.4.3.

    I definitely plan on buying one of the books I just cant determine which one better suits my needs. Any feedback or help would be greatly appreciates.

    While continuing to search the forums i found a post related to patch 2.4.* however it indicated that certian combatlog features were not included, and since i planned on makimg rather extensive use of the combat log i would still like to know exactly which patch version book was was written for.
