Categories or some organizational hierarchy for events? Not really sure what works best here, but there's gotta be some way to pull it up from just a flat list. Widgets are easy since there is clear inheritence, API reference has categories. Anyway, I'm sure you'll figure something out.

In API docs, "See Also" links?

In API docs, can a function listing be a part of more than one category?

what format does an entry need to have to link to another entry? For example, including links to another function (see above, see also comment) in the listing? Or standard "wiki" style links for things still requiring definition, so words show up as links?

I'll probably add more to this as I think of more stuff

This is something I'd like to see as well. This site is still in its early stages right now, so expect big changes along these lines in the near future.

In API docs, "See Also" links?

Improving the API documentation is an ongoing task for us. We'll definitely be expanding some areas and implementing better cross-linking. The reference up there right now was pulled straight from our source data for the book, hence the current lack of interactivity.

    Yes it can.

For now I'd suggest using standard html links (<a href="...">text</a>). We're in the process of changing to a WYSIWYG editor so the current markup will be obsolete in the next couple days.
